March 23, 2007, Newsletter Issue #56: What is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?

Tip of the Week

Chronic fatigue syndrome is a condition where an individual experiences prolonged and severe fatigue that is not relieved by sleeping. While an exact cause is not yet known, recent studies suggest it may be caused by a disturbance in the immune system, which can cause problems with the nervous system. Many medical treatments include antiviral drugs and drugs to fight yeast infections, which may be a contributing factor. Many have found significant relief from chronic fatigue syndrome by taking colostrum. One of the key ingredients found in colostrum is lactoferrin, which boost the immune system, has antiviral properties and has been found effective in treating chronic disorders, such as chronic fatigue.
