Problems with the gastrointestinal tract can lead to a variety of aliments, ranging from mild to severe. These problems can include fatigue, headaches, IBS, gas, acid reflux, polyps and cancer. Luckily, a majority of problems can be prevented with proper care. Some ways to maintain a healthy gastrointestinal system are to eat a healthy, high fiber diet, drink plenty of water (at least 64 oz's a day), don't drink alcohol in excess and take supplements as necessary. Important supplements include vitamins, probiotics, colostrum and digestive aids. All of these supplements can assist you in maintaining optimal GI tract health.
